Capacitance and Tan Delta Tester
The ZWJS101 is an advanced diagnostic instrument engineered to measure the capacitance and dielectric loss (Tan Delta / tgδ) of high-voltage electrical equipment.
Utilizing state-of-the-art variable-frequency technology and digital filtering, it effortlessly eliminates 50Hz/60Hz interference to ensure high-precision results even in the harsh electromagnetic environments of live substations.
Product Overview
Dielectric loss measurement is a fundamental method to detect overall moisture deterioration and localized defects in electrical equipment insulation.
The ZWJS101 breaks through traditional bridge measurement modes by combining an internal standard capacitor, a 10kV high-voltage power supply, and a microprocessor into a single, compact unit.
It is exceptionally suited for testing transformers, reactors, bushings, capacitors, and arresters in power manufacturing, installation, and preventive maintenance.
Functions and Value:
1. Variable-Frequency Anti-Interference: Employs Fourier transform digital filtering and dual-frequency conversion (e.g., 45Hz and 55Hz) to completely isolate and eliminate 50Hz power frequency interference, providing pristine data in active substations.
2. CVT Self-Excitation Measurement: Precisely measures the capacitance and dielectric loss of Capacitor Voltage Transformers (CVT). It automatically calculates both C1 and C2, as well as the total equipment values, without needing complex external setups.
3. Reverse Wiring Low-Voltage Shielding: Allows for 110kV reverse wiring dielectric loss measurements without disconnecting the upper CVT busbar, saving significant time and labor during field inspections.
4. All-in-One Integration: Features a fully integrated design with its own high-voltage switching power supply (up to 10kV) and internal standard capacitor, drastically reducing the amount of equipment needed on-site.
5. Intelligent Safety Protections: Prioritizes operator safety with built-in ground protection (blocks high-voltage output if poorly grounded), overcurrent protection, and instant electric shock protection mechanisms.
6. Seamless Operation & Data Management: Controlled via a full-color touch screen LCD. Built-in memory stores all historical records, which can be printed instantly via the thermal printer or exported via USB for computer analysis.

Frequently Asked Questions
Contact our engineers for technical support and application guidance.
The device uses variable-frequency technology (e.g., automatically testing at 45Hz and 55Hz rather than exactly 50Hz) combined with Fourier transform digital filtering. This completely isolates the test signals, bypassing the ambient power frequency interference entirely.
Yes. The ZWJS101 is equipped with a specific reverse-wiring low-voltage shielding function and a CVT self-excitation testing mode. This allows you to safely and accurately measure the dielectric loss of C1 and C2 without the labor-intensive process of disconnecting the upper busbar.
No. For the vast majority of routine tests, the instrument operates as a standalone unit. It has a built-in high-voltage power supply that outputs up to 10kV (at 200mA) and includes its own high-precision internal standard capacitor.
Safety is a priority. The instrument features a strict grounding protection function. If the device detects that it is not grounded or the grounding contact is poor, it will refuse to initiate the testing procedure and will not output any high voltage, thereby protecting the operator.
